Our 5th annual Tea for Blu took place on Sunday, April 13th at the beautiful Shangri-la hotel, Toronto. Thank you to all of our sponsors, guests and supporters for making this year such a success, raising a total of $265,000.
Support of Tea for Blu enables ground-breaking research to become a reality.
This year Blu Genes continued to support SickKids as their dedicated team of gene editing experts worked to edit the gene that causes Tay-Sachs Disease – so that the fault no longer exists and damage can be halted. This work has also lead to advances in delivery systems, treatment strategies and additional avenues of discovery that all hold the potential to advance treatments in many rare disorders.
