Our 6th annual Tea for Blu will take place on Sunday, May 3rd. Stay tuned for our event location announcement.
Support of Tea for Blu enables ground-breaking research to become a reality that may make the dream of curing Tay-Sachs Disease come true.
This year Blu Genes will continue to support SickKids and the University of Massachusetts. At SickKids our support will enable a dedicated team of gene editing experts to continue their work edit the gene that causes Tay-Sachs Disease – helping to eliminate symptoms from patients. Blu Genes will also continue work with the University of Massachusetts as their ongoing research is pushing forward towards a second clinical trial for Tay-Sachs that is targeting to be the first FDA approved treatment; providing hope for patients diagnosed today and in the future.
Support from sponsors and guests will propel this research towards finding a meaningful treatment for Tay-Sachs Disease. Your support of Tea for Blu will enable this ground-breaking research to become a reality. This work on a broader level is designed as platform-based science. This means the tools, delivery system, and genetic treatment strategies being developed can be adapted to treat many different genetic mutations and rare disease, not just on condition.
