A Signature BLU Event in support of Blu Genes Foundation, TEA FOR BLU is an elegantly crafted afternoon of socializing, delicious traditional tea service, fun activations with special guest medical superstars. Our fourth annual Tea for Blu took place on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Our Tea for Blu 2024 was a great success. We raised $205,000 thanks to our sponsors and guests. At the event, guests were able to learn firsthand of the impact Blu Genes continues to have on advancing research for rare disease. Dr. Ivakine spoke to our guests about the ongoing Tay-Sachs disease research at SickKids. This research is only possible because of continued support by our Blu Genes sponsors, donors and guests of our Tea for Blu. Blu Genes Foundation selects iconic and beautiful hotels to provide a stylish and sophisticated event with delicious and traditional afternoon tea. We have had the opportunity to experience the St. Regis Toronto, The King Edward Hotel, Toronto and The Four Seasons Hotel, Toronto. This year we enjoyed an encore experience with the award winning Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, in the elegant Aria Ballroom. Velo Blu
A Signature BLU Event, VELO BLU is a charity ride and celebratory event that is designed to impress with the high-end experiences for each rider and event guest. Velo Blu allows multiple routes for all cyclists to enjoy the ride with the option of adding a challenge. Velo Blu takes place at the beautiful Peller Estates Winery, where riders are guided on a challenging scenic ride through Niagara-on-the-lake. Non-riders are treated to curated activities to 'Experience Niagara' and all guests culminate back for a celebration with great, food, wine, company and sense of accomplishment. Velo Blu continues to raise necessary funds to advance gene therapy research for rare diseases. Our 5th Annual VELO BLU took place on Friday September 13th 2024 and was a big success. Thank you to our riders, supporters and our 55+ Sponsors of Velo Blu 2024 – with your help we raised $400k! Velo Blu 2024 had a tremendous turnout with 70 riders and 50 Experience Niagara participants along with many more guests joining us for the beautiful luncheon under the tent overlooking the Vineyards at Peller Estates.VELO BLU 2025 will be here before you know it.
