Velo Blu 2024

On Friday, September 13th, under the beautiful skies of Niagara, Velo Blu took place at the stunning Peller Estates.  Our distance riders enjoyed a scenic journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Niagara Region, while guests seeking a more relaxed way to Experience Niagara indulged in curated activities.  These included a leisurely guided bike tour of Trius and Bella Terra wineries or Peller Estate’ unique sip, sense and see experience.  The day culminated with a celebratory wine reception and lunch in a picturesque setting overlooking the Peller Estate vineyards.

We are thankful to all of our sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers who helped to make the 5th annual Velo Blu – Pedal for Blu Genes a huge success.  With your help we reached our fundraising goal of $400,000! This support will be directed to a dedicated research team at SickKids who are advancing a gene editing approach to Tay-Sachs disease with the hope of a meaningful treatment for patients in the near future.  Support of Velo Blu is making research for rare diseases a reality.

Join us next Fall for Velo Blu and join this charity ride and celebratory event that is designed to impress with the high-end experiences for each rider and event guest. Velo Blu takes place at the beautiful Peller Estates Winery, where riders are guided on a challenging scenic ride through Niagara-on-the-lake and guests are invited to Experience Niagara through curated activities, culminating back for a celebration with great, food, wine, company and sense of accomplishment. Velo Blu continues to raise necessary funds to advance gene therapy research for rare diseases.
